If you are using MyArcadePlugin then you should know that out of the box its fast, but not as fast as it could be. Today I will give you a short guide on how to properly configure W3TC for MyArcadePlugin on shared hosting. It’s important to note that these settings may vary for your hosting provider but, for the most part, the process is the same.

You will only need two forms of caching browser cache, and page caching.

Page Caching

For page caching you want to enable Disk Enhanced if you find that you are getting display errors, white screens, or an error code switch it to Basic.

Browser Cache

There is 1 stipulation with browser caching and that is you need to make sure to uncheck GZIP Compression for media and other files (the very last category scroll all the way down.

After you have done this you have the optimal settings for W3TC for shared hosting.

Common Issues

  1. Make sure you go to the extensions menu and enable the Yoast SEO module (if you are using Yoast).
  2. If GZIP is not enabled despite it being checked this means your host does not have it installed on your server and you will need to contact them.
  3. If mod_expires is not installed you will face a similar issue as you do with GZIP contact your host to install it.
  4. If you find that your cache is getting way out of control in size, then you need to make sure that only are running page, and browser cache (never run Object or Database caching from disk).
